Asteroids Boxing

Someone has tried to sabotage your spaceship by replacing your blasters with boxing gloves. Unfortunately, this is not enough to calm your inner rage towards giant floating space boulders.

[Controls:]

[A]/[D]:   Turning.

[W]:   Accelerate forwards.

[S]:   Brakes.

[Space]:   Fire(Hit?).

See how many points you can score before dying. Reset with [R].

[Tips:]

Hitting an asteroid causes it to reward x10 normal points when it eventually breaks.

Hitting an asteroid into another asteroid of same color, but different size, upgrades the smaller asteroid.

[Game Jam Stuff:]

This game was made in about 10 hours for the GamesPlusJam 3 game jam.

The theme for this jam was randomly generated pr. team/individual using a random generator program which can be found on the jam page. My theme was Asteroids + Boxing.

[Post Jam Stuff:]

The browser version has been updated to fix some bugs. The original jam version can be downloaded as an executable below.

The original version had some bug which are now fixed:

• Lives didn't get refilled when restarting, causing you to only have one life when restarting after dying. 
• Over time, only the largest type of asteroids spawn, making it impossible to create any asteroids that are better than the orange ones after about 30 seconds.

In the current browser version, these bugs are fixed!
